Biography
I have been working with Music Education for close to 20 years, teaching drums and guitar in the form of private lessons since 2002.
In 2007 I was invited to become part of the faculty of Brazil’s most prestigious drum institute, called Bateras Beat, where I taught for ten invigorating years.
My role there was to teach performance, technique and reading applied to ensemble practices. In June 2017, after four years of intense studying, I graduated in Music Education with honors, with an average grade of 9.84 over 10. Immediately after graduation, I moved to Los Angeles to enroll at the Musicians Institute (MI) Drum Performance Program, granted with two scholarships.
In 2015, I have had the opportunity of teaching symphonic percussion to teenagers at Porto Alegre’s Symphony Orchestra’s school.
In 2016, I taught music lessons to classes of High School teenagers, and to classes of 3rd grade kids, both in my hometown, Porto Alegre, Brazil.
Along with my teaching career, I have been a very active performing and recording drummer for the past 20 years. I recorded four albums that were released worldwide with my band Rage In My Eyes (formerly known as Scelerata). I did five Brazilian tours (50+ shows) as Paul DiAnno’s (former Iron Maiden’s lead singer) official drummer, from 2009 to 2014. In 2011 I recorded in Germany with producer Charlie Bauerfeind (Motörhead, Halford, Helloween), in 2017, I recorded in Los Angeles with producer Adair Daufembach (Kiko Loureiro, Tony MacAlpine). In March 2018, I played in Bianca Ryan’s band (America’s Got Talent winner).
In 2019, I performed live in Los Angeles twice with Bobby Kimball (former Toto, three-time Grammy winner). Among other artists, I also played live with Grammy winner Kiko Loureiro (Megadeth, former Angra), Roy Z. (from Rob Halford of Judas Priest, Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden, Sebastian Bach of Skid Row), Rafael Bittencourt (Angra) and had the opportunity of recording with Latin Grammy nominee Renato Borghetti, Gold Record winning artist Andi Deris (Helloween) and 2021 Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame nominee Paul Di’anno (former Iron Maiden).
I had several appearances in the Modern Drummer magazine, the most important in the world. My intense performing career culminated with a five-page interview in Brazil’s edition of Modern Drummer magazine, in the February 2013 issue.
